奥会津三島町について・About Mishima town

 ＜毎年１月１５日に各地区で行われるサイノカミ＞

新年を迎え今日は改めて、かんたんにですが三島町とはどんなところかをお話ししたいと思います。

＜春の風物詩 ぜんまいもみ＞

三島町は福島県西部に位置し、豊かな自然に囲まれた人口約１，８００人、高齢化率が５０％以上と過疎化の進む町です。

山間部の小さな町ではりますが、その自然とそこに暮らす人々が生み出した歴史・文化は伝統工芸品「奥会津編み組細工」、国指定重要無形民俗文化財「三島のサイノカミ」に代表され、現代の人々に受け継がれています。

平成２４年にはそれらの伝統文化が登録資源に認められ「日本で最も美しい村連合」に加盟しました。

 ＜奥会津編み組細工＞

Located in the west of Fukushima Prefecture, Mishima is a small town, abundant in nature, with a population of approximately 1,800 people. Despite its 50% aging population and continuing depopulation, Mishima’s nature and its people continue to pass down their history and culture through traditional crafts known as, “Okuaizu Amikumizaiku,” and its representative Intangible Folk Cultural Properties of Japan, “Mishima no Sai no Kami.” Also, since ancient times, known for producing Aizu’s paulownia, Mishima’s paulownia chest drawers are famous nation-wide.

また、只見川第一橋梁ビューポイントからの景色は近年人気が高まり、国内外を問わず写真愛好家の皆さんが四季折々の景色の撮影のため訪れています。
