奥会津三島町とは・About Mishima town

＜春＞

新年を迎え今日は改めて、かんたんにですが三島町とはどんなところかをお話ししたいと思います。

＜初夏＞

三島町は福島県西部に位置し、豊かな自然に囲まれた人口約１，７００人、高齢化率が５０％以上と過疎化の進む町です。

山間部の小さな町ではありますが、雄大な自然の中にあり、その自然とそこに暮らす人々が生み出した歴史・文化が、現代の人々に受け継がれています。

平成２４年にはそれらの伝統文化が登録資源に認められ「日本で最も美しい村連合」に加盟しました。

＜冬＞

Located in the west of Fukushima Prefecture, Mishima is a small town, abundant in nature, with a population of approximately 1,700 people. Despite its 50% aging population and continuing depopulation, Mishima’s nature and its people continue to pass down their history and culture through traditional crafts known as, “Okuaizu Amikumizaiku,” and its representative Intangible Folk Cultural Properties of Japan, “Mishima no Sai no Kami.” Also, since ancient times, known for producing Aizu’s paulownia, Mishima’s paulownia chest drawers are famous nation-wide.
